繼《雷霆救兵》Saving My Private Ryan，史提芬 史匹堡 Steven Spielberg 與湯漢斯Tom Hanks 聯手炮製HBO 當年史上最大製作電視劇集《雷霆傘兵》Bands of Brother ，改編自史學家 Stephen E. Ambrose 1993 年同名小說，故事講述第二次世界大戰中美國陸軍第101空降師作戰經歴。

電視劇配樂由 Michael Kaman編寫。他曾參與多部電影的配樂工作包括《挑戰者Highlander》、《轟天炮 Lethal Weapon》、《虎膽龍威Die Hard》、 《幻影英雄Last Action Hero》、《鐵金剛勇戰殺人狂魔License To Kill》及《Prince of Robin Hood:Thieves》 等等。

此外，Michael Kaman曾與 Pink Floyd 合作 1992 年電影《迷牆The Wall 》，又率領San Francisco Symphony Orchestra ，與Metallica 合作 S & M 音樂會。《雷霆傘兵》曾奪得 2001 年艾美奬和金球奬最佳短遍電影劇。
