《1917：逆戰救兵》是2019 年一部以第一次世界大戰為背景的戰爭電影，由英國導演Sam Mendes 執導和監製。故事講述兩位士兵奮勇把重要訊息帶到前線，避免一埸傷亡慘重的戰事。部分故事改編自 Mendes的祖父服役期間的遭遇。

電影原創配樂由美國作曲家 Thomas Newman 負責。繼《美麗有罪 American Beauty》 (1999 年)、《末路驕陽Road to Perdition》(2002 年)、《平頭日記 Jarhead》(2005 年)、《浮生路Revolutionary Road》(2008 年)、占士邦電影系列《新鐵金剛之智破天凶城 Skyfall》(2012 年) 和《新鐵金剛之鬼影帝國Spectre》(2015 年) 後，他七度與 Mendes 合作。

配音工作在電影開拍前已展開，Newman 聘用八十七人管弦大樂團於著名英國 Abbey Road Studios 錄音室，花上九星期進行灌錄。此配樂榮獲超過廿個業界配樂奬項提名包括奧斯卡金像獎、英國電影學院大獎、金球獎和影評人選擇大獎等。
